Pennsylvania Working to Employ Youth with Disabilities

Article briefly describes two statewide Pennsylvania programs supporting the transition of young adults with disabilities from high school:  (1) the Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Network (PLYN), a team of youth leaders with disabilities that encourages self-determination, empowerment, and leadership and (2) the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare’s Works For Me campaign that provides information to people with disabilities, their caregivers, secondary transition coordinators, guidance counselors and other individuals working with students with disabilities on transition from high school.
