Interagency Agreement Among Tennessee Department of Education, Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Division of Health Care Finance and Administration, Bureau of TennCare, Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Tennessee Department of Health, Tennessee Department of Human Services, Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and Tennessee Department of Correction

Interagency agreement among Tennessee state agencies to fulfill all of Parts B and C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  With reference to transition from secondary education, the agreement describes the interface that should occur among the Tennessee Department of Education, Local Education Agencies, Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Department of Human Services Division of Rehabilitation Services, and the Department of Children’s Services, including confidentiality and parent involvement for students 18 and older.  The agreement also covers the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities’ administration of transition services funded by Home and Community-Based Services waiver, as well as vocational rehabilitation employment services administered by the Department of Human Services Division of Rehabilitation Services.
