An Examination of Transition Planning and Services for Secondary Students in Special Education in the San Diego Unified School District

Examines quality of transition planning for high school students with disabilities in San Diego Unified School District.  Of 1,257 cases, not one had Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that met the requirements of federal Indicator 13.   The study looks at the extent to which the 16 evidence-based transition predictors for improving post school outcomes were included among the special education transition services offered by the district.
